We are so psyched to feature a zine workshop led by local artist, Miguel Rodriguez, during Spring Break next week! Join us from 3:30-6pm on Wednesday, 4/17. As anyways, our programs are FREE!
This workshop is designed for teens who want to express themselves creatively, share their unique perspectives, and connect with others through the power of DIY publishing. During this hands-on session, participants will learn the art of crafting zines - small, self-published booklets filled with art, comix, writing, collage, or whatever you can think of! You’ll explore different techniques, from layout design to printing, and discover how to transform your ideas into tangible works of art that can reach other like-minded people. No prior experience is necessary - just bring your imagination and enthusiasm! Whether you’re passionate about poetry, comix, activism, or anything in between, zine-making is the perfect platform to showcase your voice and make a statement.
